About

About ACET NSS Unit

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Adhi College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) is a student-run organization that works to promote social awareness and community development. Our mission is to instill a sense of social responsibility in our students and encourage them to be active participants in nation-building.

Our Activities

Vision:

The ACET NSS Unit envisions a future where Adhi College of Engineering and Technology students are not just equipped with technical expertise but also transformed into responsible and empathetic individuals. We aspire to see our student volunteers graduate as active citizens, deeply invested in the well-being of their communities and the nation at large. We believe that through social service and engagement, our students can contribute to building a more just and equitable society, one where opportunities are equally accessible, and all voices are heard. Additionally, we envision a world where environmental sustainability is a core value, and our students play a leading role in protecting our planet for future generations.

Mission:

To achieve this ambitious vision, the ACET NSS Unit is dedicated to fulfilling the following mission:

  • Cultivating a Culture of Social Responsibility: We aim to foster a vibrant campus environment where social responsibility is not just an obligation but a way of life. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and interactive sessions, we will equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to become active participants in social change.

  • Promoting Community Engagement: We believe that meaningful social change can only be achieved through collaboration and active participation. We will create opportunities for our students to connect with local communities, understand their needs, and work alongside them to address critical issues. This will not only benefit the communities but also provide valuable experiences for our volunteers, fostering empathy and understanding.

  • Providing Opportunities for Meaningful Service Learning: Service learning is a core principle of the NSS program. We will provide our students with diverse platforms to translate their theoretical knowledge into practical action. Through special camps, regular programs, and community service projects, students will gain valuable firsthand experience in areas like education, healthcare, environmental protection, and disaster relief. These experiences will not only enhance their skillsets but also provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment through impactful service.

By fulfilling this mission, the ACET NSS Unit strives to be a catalyst for positive social change, empowering students to become the architects of a brighter future.

ACET NSS unit organizes various activities throughout the year, including:
  • Special Camps: We conduct annual special camps in rural areas, where volunteers live and work with the community on projects like cleaning, teaching, and awareness campaigns.

  • Regular Programs: We organize regular programs on social issues like women's empowerment, health awareness, and environmental protection.

  • Blood Donation Camps: We hold blood donation camps to contribute to the critical need for blood in our community.

  • Tree Plantation Drives: We organize tree plantation drives to promote environmental sustainability.

  • Community Service Projects: Our volunteers actively participate in various community service projects throughout the year.
